Single Vision Explained
Myopia, or short-sightedness is characterised by the difficulty of clearly seeing an object in the far distance. You may have difficulty reading road signs, watching TV or seeing things from a far.
Hyperopia, or long-sightedness is characterised by the difficulty of clearly seeing an object that is close up. You may have headaches, eye strain and may squint or feel fatigued when performing work at near vision.
Astigmatism means that the eye is shaped more like a rugby ball, rather than a football. This causes distorted vision as light focus on the eye in more than one place. You may experience dizziness, eyestrain, headaches & squinting.
Intermediate vision is the area between your near and distance vision. This is your part of vision that is required for tasks such as using computers, looking at a car’s dashboard, playing golf and tennis.
