Rigid gas permeable lenses are hard contact lenses that are made from a firm more durable silicone plastic that enables good oxygen air flow through the lens to the eye. They offer excellent eye health and reduce the risk of eye problems caused by hypoxia (reduced oxygen supply).

RGP Lens Type

Spherical RGP

A rigid gas permeable Spherical contact lens corrects short sightedness also known as myopia, or long sightedness also known as hyperopia. The lens will have the same prescription power all around the lens.

Toric RGP

A rigid gas permeable Toric contact lens corrects astigmatism, which is when the eye is shaped more like a rugby ball than a football causing distorted vision. The lens has 2 different prescription powers across the horizontal and vertical lens surface.

Multifocal RGP

A rigid gas permeable Multifocal contact lens helps correct presbyopia which is a natural ageing process where the eye has difficult focusing nearby. Clear vision is achieved at near, distance and intermediatory vision.
